It would appear to me that my sweetheart of a fiance may have been a tad bit overzealous. I have not drawn since I was young, I have not picked up a pencil since creating this account. It will take her infinite patience to teach me anything, and assuming I do post, when I get the time to log onto DA, it will more than likely be terrible.

Unfortunately, although I would like to be, I don't think I'm very artistic.. nor am I good at taking photos..

Thanks everyone for your support though, you guys have certainly made me feel welcome.

You may not be an artist yet, but that doesn't mean you won't be. <3 And I definitely will teach you, when we get some more time! ;) Hell, you may end up being better at a different kind of art than I am for all we know! We'll just have to find out!

Yay for the welcoming commitie :) I don't think you've seen some of my first drawings. I agree with Sonja. Only Treusch was that much of an art nazi.

art is largely based on experience, so if you are willing to devote yourself to it, you will improve. i would also recommend you draw a lot from observation, it helps you understand your subject better, especially with complex, dynamic subjects like people.
